Favorite Southern France Town: Antibes
Compared to the hustle and bustle of Nice, I adore the laid-back vibe of Antibes even more—here, you’ll find Picasso’s palette, Monet’s ocean waves, and a stretch of azure coastline I wish I could keep all to myself! 🚂 Transport Tips: ✅ Highly recommend the 3-day South Azur Pass! For €37 (includes card fee), it’s a direct 30-minute train ride from Nice to Antibes. ⚠️ Pro tip: Remember to tap your pass on the yellow machine on the platform before boarding, and keep your ticket receipt handy for inspections! 🎨 My Itinerary: 10:45 ☕ 【Good Mate】 – Wake up with a latte (13-min walk) 11:00 🖼️ Picasso Museum (Don’t miss the stunning sea-view window on the second floor!) 12:30 🌊 Stroll along the seaside promenade, following Monet’s footsteps (Snap a pic at the Cap d’Antibes viewpoint!) 14:00 🍽️ 【Ferni】 – Seaside lunch (The area around Place des Martyrs is perfect for exploring!) 🌿 Hiking Route: 16:00 🚖 Take a taxi to Parking Plage de La Garoupe 💡 Due to recent trail closures, I recommend walking only to the "Lonely Bench" (see pics 6/7) for: ✨ 270° breathtaking sea views + Instagrammable photo ops! 17:30 🚖 Taxi back to the train station for the return to Nice. 📸 Must-Capture Spots: • Picasso Museum rooftop terrace • Rainbow alleys of Old Town (Rue du Bas Castelet) • Rocky breakwater by the sea (Near Port Vauban) 🌟 Extra Tips: 1️⃣ Book seaside restaurants in advance! 2️⃣ Wear comfy shoes for the hike, and bring sunscreen. 3️⃣ Last train back to Nice departs at 21:47—I’d recommend heading back by 19:00. #LookUpAtArt #AntibesTravel #AntibesHiking #AntibesOldTown #SouthOfFrance #FrenchRivieraGuide 🌊✨
