Finally, I made it to the legendary best ramen in New York! ๐
After my last post on Ivan Ramen, the comments were all raving about how Ramen Ishida is even better. So here I am, ready to give it a try! ๐ The shop is super tiny, seating only about 7-8 people at most. Itโs best to come for a weekday lunch like we did. Even though we arrived early, the place was already full. ๐ฟ ๐ New Tokyo Style Shลyu Ramen: A must-order! This isnโt your regular tonkotsu broth; itโs a delicate chicken-based shoyu ramen. It comes with shiitake mushrooms, charred chashu, fermented bamboo shoots, and a soft-boiled egg. The first bite with shiso leaf and black truffle is heavenly! The broth is fragrant but not greasy, light yet full of subtle flavors. ๐ Spicy Mushroom with Pork: Another must-try recommended by the staff. The broth is made from six types of mushrooms and is completely different from the first oneโitโs thick and pairs with thick noodles. If you have strong preferences, choose wisely. Ours came with extra spice and toppings, making it a hearty and satisfying bowl. ๐ณ ๐ฅ Sides Chashu Rice: Comes with big chunks of chashu and a small portion of soy-flavored rice. Highly recommended! ๐ Cucumber: A perfect side for ramen. We ordered two! ๐ฅ Boiled Gyoza: Clearly store-bought frozen dumplings. Not recommended. ๐ฅ ๐ Address: Ramen Ishida: 122 Ludlow St, New York, NY 10002 #NewYorkLife #NYCWeekend ๐๐
