Finally understood why everyone is recommending the museums 🏰

The National Museum of Scotland, located in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland (a city like Chongqing). Its uniqueness lies in integrating various types of exhibition halls into one place. In most countries, these would be separate museums, but here you can see everything: the Science and Technology Hall (with Dolly the cloned sheep), the Natural History Hall (a paradise for animal lovers), the World Cultures Hall (a mix of emotions, with artifacts from colonial expansion and smuggling, including mummies), the Scottish History Hall (with adorable chess pieces), and even an aerial garden viewing terrace (the staircase is a bit hard to find). 🌟 Personally, I love the Natural History Hall the most. Each display case is categorized by the animals' functions, such as those sensitive to touch, good at camouflage, capable of flying, and engaging in courtship behaviors, etc. You can even experience the perspective of a cockroach or a dragonfly. The interactive exhibits and layout are thoughtfully designed, highly inspiring, and easy to understand. 🌿 The UK experienced a boom in animal science in the 19th century (focusing on natural history and taxonomy, based on Darwin's theory of evolution). This corresponds to the introduction of zoology in China during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic period. Before that, it was mainly focused on animal husbandry (emphasizing practicality and traditional Chinese medicine research). Museums are like a microcosm; if you take the time to zoom in, you'll find many details worth savoring. 📚 #RomanticLifeRecorder #MuseumsWorthVisiting
