Finland | Santa Claus Village Self-guided Tour π π»βοΈ
During Christmas in Finland, the daytime is very short, less than four hours. It's recommended to choose flights/trains that arrive in the morning or evening. I took the VR night train sleeper (there's a ticket purchase guide on my homepage), arriving at Rovaniemi Train Station around 7 am. After checking in at the northernmost McDonald's, I headed straight to Santa Claus Village. [Citywalk Route]: Northernmost McDonald's π Photo with Santa Claus π Mailing Postcards π Buying Arctic Circle Certificate π Reindeer Sleigh Ride π Salmon Meal π Husky Sleigh Ride π Back to Downtown Following this order, there was virtually no queue at all, and I highly recommend taking the 1Km reindeer sleigh ride through the forestβit feels magical. At the end, I encountered a blue-pink sky with lights, just as I had imagined, and I cried on the spot, finally fulfilling a childhood dream. π Best Season to Visit Santa Claus Village π From December to February each year, the Christmas atmosphere is the thickest (P.S.: Book tickets in advance during the peak season!) βοΈ How to get to Santa Claus Village? β: Direct flights from the UK, France, Germany, and other countries to Rovaniemi, taking 3-3.5 hours one way Or fly to Helsinki and transfer to Rovaniemi Airport, taking 1.5 hours one way Take the Airportbus π / taxi π to Santa Claus Village #Finland #FinlandTravel #FinlandTourism #FinlandSelfGuided #SantaClausVillageFinland #FinlandChristmas
