Florida Adventure

Spring break calls for sunshine, and Florida delivers! Orlando and Miami make a perfect pair for a week-long getaway. The best part? You can do it all without a rental car! We traveled between cities by train, and everything else was within a 20-minute Uber/Lyft ride. This guide is perfect for those without a license or who simply prefer not to drive. Day 1: Arrival in Orlando & Retail Therapy ✈️ 📍 Vineland Premium Outlets Kick off your trip with some shopping! This large outlet mall has great deals on a wide range of brands. 🥘 Pirates Dinner Adventure An interactive dinner show with swashbuckling pirates, acrobatics, and a feast. It's a fun, family-friendly way to spend your first evening. 🏨 Rosen Inn The rooms are spacious, but the hotel is quite dated. We noticed wrinkled and torn bed sheets, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. It's functional but not luxurious. Day 2: SeaWorld Thrills 🐬🎢 Since we'd already visited all the Disney and Universal parks on previous trips, we opted for SeaWorld this time. Major perk: The crowds are much smaller, meaning almost no lines! If it's your first time in Orlando, you could swap this day for Disney or Universal. 📍 SeaWorld Highly recommended! This park offers the best of both worlds: thrilling roller coasters (including stand-up and floorless rides) AND incredible animal shows featuring dolphins, orcas, and more. It's a fantastic blend of adrenaline and education. 🥘 World's Largest McDonald's This isn't your average fast-food joint! They serve a unique menu that includes pasta and pizza alongside the classic burgers and fries. Day 3: Volcano Bay Water Park 💦 📍 Universal's Volcano Bay Get ready for a day of water-filled fun at Universal's tropical-themed water park. The slides are intense and thrilling! Pro-Tip: Bring your own towel to save on rental fees. Weather Note: Early March was a bit chilly out of the water, but the water itself was warm. This park is best enjoyed when the air temperature is above 25°C (77°F). Relaxation: The sandy beach area has plenty of lounge chairs—perfect for warming up in the sun between rides. 🍽️ Kohola Reef Restaurant: Located in the sand area. Their curry chicken rice and burgers are delicious and satisfying. Day 4: Train to Miami & Cuban Flavors 🚄🇨🇺 🚄 Brightline Train: Orlando → Miami The Orlando station is small and located near the airport. The 3.5-hour train ride is comfortable and scenic. 📍 Little Havana Immerse yourself in Cuban culture! Stroll through the vibrant streets, soak up the atmosphere, and indulge in authentic treats. Must-Try: Sanguich Little Havana (for amazing Cuban sandwiches), La Colada (for strong Cuban coffee), and Azucar Ice Cream (for unique tropical flavors). 📍 Brickell City Centre A massive, semi-outdoor shopping mall that feels very modern and similar to malls in China. It has a great selection of brands. 🌅 South Beach Note: The actual beach closes at 6 PM, but the area along Ocean Drive comes alive at night with restaurants, bars, and a lively party scene. 🍽️ Alma Cubana: Delicious Cuban cuisine. 🍹 Oceans Ten: A great spot for drinks with a vibrant atmosphere. 🏨 President Hotel South Beach: The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, but the amenities are very basic and the hotel feels a bit run-down. Day 5: Art, History & Dessert 🏛️🎨 📍 Vizcaya Museum and Gardens A stunning waterfront estate with European-inspired architecture and breathtaking gardens. It feels like stepping into a Gilded Age fairy tale. 📍 Wynwood Walls An outdoor museum of street art. The neighborhood is covered in massive, colorful murals by world-renowned artists. It's a photographer's paradise. 🥘 Manta: A great spot for lunch or dinner. 📍 Design District A chic neighborhood known for its high-end boutiques, art galleries, and modern architecture. 🍨 Aubi & Ramsa: A unique ice cream parlor that serves alcoholic ice cream! 🍸🍦 📍 Lincoln Road A pedestrian-only shopping street that's less crowded than Ocean Drive. It even has a Miniso store! 🍨 I Scream Gelato: More delicious frozen treats to end the day. Day 6: Beach Day & Seafood Feast 🏖️🦀 📍 South Beach Walk from north to south along the famous beach, enjoying the white sand and turquoise water. 🥘 Joe’s Stone Crab A Miami institution! Famous for its fresh stone crab claws (seasonal). A must-try delicacy. 📍 South Pointe Beach A quieter section of South Beach with a pier, offering great views of the water and passing cruise ships. 🥘 Nettuno: Another excellent seafood option for dinner. Day 7: Departure ✈️ Time to say goodbye to the sunshine state! Head to Miami International Airport for your flight home. This itinerary proves that you can have an amazing Florida adventure without the hassle of a rental car. Enjoy the sun, sand, and magic of Orlando and Miami! 🌞 #US #Florida #Orlando
