The chef took the opportunity to chat with us in between dishes. We heard that he was a former apprentice of Masa... But it seems like half the omakase chefs in the city claim to be Masa's protégés these days. It made me wonder just how many apprentices he's had! 🤔 I felt it might be rude to ask, so I didn't. But that day, there were two chefs, both from Fujian, China. So, in a way, we ended up dining at another high-end fumakase place. 🍣 To sum it up, the food was genuinely delicious. They used all the expensive ingredients you can think of, and the combinations were impressive. We definitely left full, but when the bill arrived, it was so pricey it almost made us want to complain.
