Ford Foundation Center for Social Justice(2)
III. Rebirth: Raymond Jungles' Revival Masterpiece 🌟 🌟🌸 In 2018, the garden underwent a comprehensive renewal. Raymond Jungles, while preserving the original intent, introduced a greater variety of tropical and hardy plant species, such as jacaranda, banyan trees, and olive trees. These additions create a light and airy canopy layer, subtly guiding the visitor's path with light, color, and texture. 🌳 The ground was repaved with warm-colored bricks and features tactile planters and fragrant plants, offering an inclusive experience for the visually impaired and those with mobility challenges. 🌟🌸 The water feature was treated with a black dye to create a tranquil mirror effect, complemented by sound installations that enhance the spatial perception. 🌊 IV. Public Experience and Social Mission 🌿 This garden serves not only as a respite for Ford Foundation employees but is also freely open to the public, embodying the principles of inclusion, equality, and openness as a "center for social justice." 🌟🌸 In this oasis embraced by skyscrapers, passersby can briefly escape the urban hustle and experience the harmonious dialogue between architecture and nature. 🌳 #NewYork 🌆
