Found a 24-Hour Gem in Pokhara 🍗

3 Meals in 3 Days—So Cheap I Want to Move Next Door! After wandering Pokhara for almost 10 days, I’ve tried lakeside influencers’ spots and tucked-away Tibetan restaurants, but the one that’s stuck in my mind is this unassuming local joint off the main street—24-hour lights on, smoke and steam wafting through the door, prices shockingly low, and flavors so good I want to order everything on the menu! 🔥 Why 3 meals in 3 days? Every bite tastes like “Pokhara’s down-to-earth flavor” First visit: Late-night hunger drove me into an alley off the main street, lured by this shop’s warm yellow glow. Glistening roasted chickens hung in the glass case, and the scent of spiced mutton rice drifted from the stove. The bearded uncle owner smiled, mixing Nepali and English: “What’ll it be?” 1/4 roasted chicken: A must! Freshly grilled to order, the skin crunches “crack” when bitten, juices dripping down the bones as you tear it apart. The meat soaks up local chili powder and cumin—tender, never dry. A 1/4 portion is perfect for one person to gnaw on, greasy (greasy ) and all, for just a few dozen NPR; Mutton rice: Stopped by again at noon! Mutton stewed tender, fragrant with turmeric and curry leaves, piled over glossy long-grain rice. Served with a small plate of tangy-spicy pickles—one bite rice, one bite meat. The spices don’t overpower, just enhance the mutton’s freshness. Licked the bowl clean; Local whiskey: Perfect for an evening drink! 20 RMB a glass, mild with a hint of caramel. The owner brings a small ice cup; sit on the little stool outside, watch the main street buzz, wind carrying food and drink aromas—too cozy to leave~ 🌃 24-hour non-stop comfort: Late-night cravings? Come anytime! The best part? It’s open 24/7! At 2 AM, strolling back from the lake, locals still sit chatting over drinks; at noon, students rush to grab roasted chicken for lunch; even 6 AM, early exercisers stop to pack mutton rice. This “always hot food” comfort is rare in Pokhara~ 📍 Location: A “code-like” spot off the main street Near 13th Street, in an alley off the main street. Small storefront with plastic stools outside, red light glowing at night (will add photos of the name and exact address later!). Mostly locals, but tourists lured by the smell—owner grins, gesturing “chicken! mutton!” After all the fancy restaurants in Pokhara, this “no-fuss” joint won me over—no plating, no influencer decor, just crispy roasted chicken, warm mutton rice, and 20-RMB drinks. Cheap, delicious, always open—this is the most touching “vibrancy of daily life” in travel. Next time in Pokhara, promise me you’ll find it! #PokharaLocalFood #NepalSmallShops #VibrancyInTravel #BudgetFriendlyRestaurants #PokharaGuide #WhatToEatOnVacation
