Found the Yakitori Spot Closest to Authentic Japan! đ˘đŻđľ
Passing through Las Vegas with only one dinner to spare, I wanted to make it count. After checking tons of reviews, I booked Toridokoro Raku a day aheadâand it did not disappoint! From the moment I stepped in, the vibe felt just like a restaurant in Japan: Japanese staff, hot towels for your hands, tableware arranged the Japanese wayâeven the reservation system was as strict as in Japan! đ We were hungry after a long drive, so we ordered a lot. Here are the highlights: đ Standout Dishes: ⢠Chicken Liver: Half-cooked and incredibly tenderâdefinitely not frozen. Tasted exactly like in Japan! đ ⢠Chicken Meatball (Tsukune): Fluffy, charred, with crunchy cartilage inside. My favorite skewer! đĄ ⢠Chicken Wings: Crispy skin, single-bone, super easy to eatâso tasty! đ ⢠Chicken Neck (Seseri): Chewy and full of flavorâhighly recommend! ⢠Chicken Gizzard: Tender and plumpâa must-order! ⢠Chicken Thigh: Expertly cut, juicy meat under a thin layer of skinâso delicious! ⢠Quail Eggs: Smoky from the charcoal, bursting with warmth and tenderness. đĽ đ Beyond Yakitori, we also tried: ⢠Chicken Ramen: Rich, natural brothâperfect carbs with yakitori. ⢠Sake-Steamed Clams: Very boozyâavoid if you donât like strong alcohol flavor. ⢠Homemade Tofu: Similar to Meiji tofu from Japanese supermarkets. ⢠Foie Gras Rice: Since California bans foie gras, we had to try it in Vegas! đ Rich, fatty, and satisfyingâthough the rice was a bit oily. đŽ Dessert Highlight: The Crème BrĂťlĂŠe was surprisingly amazing! đŽâ¨ Creamy, not too sweet, with light whipped foamâeven better than many specialty dessert shops! đ Grilled Mochi: Salty, wrapped in seaweedâpretty average. đ Restaurant: Toridokoro Raku đ Address: 4439 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89103 Have you been here or have a favorite yakitori spot in the US?
