The Chamonix Ice Cave is located in the glacial area of the Alps, a natural cave formed by glaciers. π Transportation: Start from Chamonix Mont Blanc station and take the red cogwheel train to the Aiguille du Midi summit station. After getting off, take the cable car π , then walk down the stairs from the cable car to reach the entrance of the ice cave. π« Ticket Purchase: Buy tickets on-site at Gare de Chamonix Mont Blanc station, just tell the staff you're heading to the ice caveο½The ticket price is around 36 euros, and visiting the ice cave is free. π Timing: Red cogwheel train departs every 30 minutes. Train β Cable car: 20-30 minutes Cable car β Walking stairs: 10 minutes Walking stairs β Ice cave entrance: 30 minutes Touring the ice cave: 10 minutes The entire trip takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Suggestions: The wind at the summit is strong, and it's very cold inside the ice cave, so dress warmly and wear insulated shoes and gloves. The walk up the stairs takes a while, and the altitude is high, so be sure to hydrate.
