French cuisine is best enjoyed at a cozy family restaurant! 🍽️❤️

As the saying goes, “If you listen to advice, you’ll have a full belly.” I don’t know if this applies everywhere, but the restaurants recommended by friends have been pretty great! 😋 Plus, I don’t mind trying popular spots as long as the food is delicious and the wait isn’t too long! ⏳✨ The joy of exploring restaurants lies in the uncertainty—each visit is like opening a mystery box! 🎁 If you enjoy the thrill of surprises, why not join me in opening a French cuisine mystery box? It’s super exciting! This restaurant doesn’t take reservations, so I arrived at 3:30 PM and waited about half an hour for a table—a great place for solo diners! 🌟 If you want to reserve a spot, it seems you need to call ahead, preferably before 11:30, but I didn’t catch all the details. Based on my appetite, I ordered an appetizer and a main course. For the appetizer, I had Duck Foie Gras Mille-Feuille with Figs Jam, and for the main course, I chose Lamb Shank with Figs and Prunes. The appetizer truly amazed me; it was my first time trying foie gras! It didn’t have any overwhelming organ meat taste and was incredibly smooth, almost like a sandwich (not quite!). The sweet and savory combination was as creative as ever, and I love how fruit jams are used in Western cuisine; they can really enhance the flavor and provide a refreshing touch. There were two generous slices of foie gras served with two slices of bread and fig jam. 🍞✨ The lamb shank was comparatively less impressive, but still performed well overall. It was well-balanced; even though it was a large piece of lamb, it came with sides. This lamb shank reminded me of the stewed veal I had last time, with a hint of honey and herbal flavor. As I enjoyed my meal, I thought it might be due to the spices they used to mask the gamey taste, which gave it that herbal quality. The figs absorbed all the flavors—if you’re not a fan of that taste, you might want to skip the figs, as they’re more potent. Other than that, there were no drawbacks; it was tender and not greasy at all, and I have a high tolerance for leaner meats. The sauce was incredibly rich! 🍖🍲 💰: €36 #FrenchCuisine #RestaurantRecommendation #Dining #HiddenGems #Paris #France #ParisianLife #FoodAndFun #EatingAndDrinkingIsSeriousBusiness #GlobalFoodieSquad
