French Cuisine Where the Pudding is Good Enough to Change Careers 🍮
Really close to ECA, I pass by this place every day on my way to school. The sign outside looked cute, so I decided to give it a try 🥹. I checked online and found that quite a few people have eaten here, but it turned out to be another big disappointment ❌❌ (Disclaimer‼️: 80% is to avoid, but the dessert is delicious 👍 So I only recommend it for afternoon tea ☕️) 💡 Taste Test 🍽️ p2🐌 Grilled Snails 🌟🌟 Many people recommend the grilled snails, but I found them quite oily 🥀. My friend thought the garlic flavor was okay, but I found it too salty 🧂, and the texture wasn’t that great either 😿 P3🍣 Salmon 🌟 The portion was quite large. The first bite had a nice combination of creamy and tangy flavors, but it got fishier as I ate more 🤕. The sauce’s tanginess didn’t neutralize the fishiness; instead, it made the dish even less enjoyable 😭 p4 Marinated Chicken 🌟 Also a generous portion, but this dish was surprisingly sour 🥲. The meat itself was fresh, but the seasoning gave it a bit of a fishy taste (I don’t know why the chicken was fishy 🙇🏻♂️ p5 Baked Crème Brûlée 🍮 & Daily Dessert 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The desserts were really, truly, absolutely delicious‼️ I really think the crispy caramel on top and the soft pudding underneath go together perfectly ❤️🔥. It melts in your mouth. The Daily Dessert (that’s the name on the menu) is a small nutty cake 🧁 with a moderate sweetness 🥹 I can only say that I strongly suggest this place starts serving only desserts from today on! 💷 Average Spend: £20-30 📌 Petit Paris #FrenchCuisine #FoodExploration #food #Edinburgh #EdinburghFood #EdinburghTravel #EdinburghFoodAvoidance
