Fresh Seafood π¦ and Creative Cuisine in Cambridge Every Day
I've been wanting to try this place for so long! It's always packed whenever I pass by at lunchtime. The restaurant changes its menu daily based on the ingredients, offering a tasting menu on weekends and Γ la carte on weekdays. π House-Made Crumpet with Portland Crab The crumpet, fried golden in butter and piled high with crab meat, feels like a luxury upgrade! The savory cheese and pepper sauce adds a rich, cheesy flavor to the whole dish. π Blue Cornish Lobster Kohlrabi Rolla The super long name of this dish is a bit confusing, but it's essentially a cold appetizer featuring blue lobster meat, refreshing pickled kohlrabi slices, and Kewpie mayo. The top is garnished with a tempura mulberry leaf (I think shiso would be even better). The finishing touch is the lobster oil, which adds a nice aroma. π Crab Chawanmushi The crab meat chawanmushi was the star of the show! I loved how different it was from regular Japanese chawanmushi. It's served cold, with a texture more like panna cotta than steamed egg. The Japanese broth and shredded crab meat complement each other perfectly for an incredibly fresh taste.π π Sea Trout Risotto The sea trout risotto had a flavor reminiscent of Japanese tea-steeped rice. The rice was on the softer side, and the garlic oil added a nice aroma. π Brown Butter Asparagus The side dish of asparagus with sunflower seeds was a bit disappointing. The seeds were a bit damp and not worth it... π Raspberry Juice Very refreshing, highly recommended! Overall, it was quite good. Each dish felt thoughtfully designed. This time, the menu seemed to incorporate more Japanese elements, offering a nice change of pace in Cambridge's somewhat limited food scene. π Fin Boys #UniversityOfCambridge #CambridgeFood #CambridgeFoodRecommendations #CambridgeRestaurants #CambridgeLife #Cambridge #CambridgeTravel #LondonTravel #LondonEats #LondonFoodie #LondonFood #UKFoodie
