From Thailand to Malaysia by Boat: First Stop - Krabi! 🚤✈️

Since there were no suitable flights from Krabi to Penang, I spontaneously decided on this epic island-hopping route: Krabi → Phi Phi → Koh Lanta → Koh Lipe → Langkawi (then fly to Penang!). 📍 First Stop: Krabi 🚍 Transportation: From Krabi Airport, turn left after arrivals, then right to find mini-bus counters. 100 THB for a shared mini-bus to Ao Nang Beach (slow but cheap—waits until full!). 🏝️ Highlights: 1️⃣ Railay Beach Booked a half-day rock climbing + bat cave tour (includes transfer). Pro tip: Take the morning session, then stay to sunbathe and return on the afternoon boat (saves money!). 2️⃣ Ao Nang Beach Mediocre water, but hike the "Monkey Trail" to a hidden private beach (clearer water but zero shade!). 🏨 Accommodation: J Hotel Ao Nang: Budget-friendly but dated (no hairdryer, weird mirror placement). Wakeup Aonang Hotel: Newer, affordable, and has a hairdryer! Next stop: Phi Phi Islands!
