Galveston of Houston
💞💞Galveston’s Beaches Are Seriously Underrated Just a one-hour drive from Houston, we arrived at the beach around 5 PM—perfect timing to catch the sunset. It was surprisingly easy to find parking along the road, which is really rare for a tourist beach 🌷🌷 😊😊You can pay via a "pay by phone" app or website (we didn’t pay and just turned on our hazard lights, and no one seemed to mind). Unlike most tourist beaches, Galveston isn’t over-commercialized—there’s even a Walmart right across the street (I forgot my flip-flops when I left, so I just bought a pair there, haha). Maybe because it was the off-season, there weren’t many people, so the background was super clean for photos. 🙈🙈 🍐🎼The only small downside was it was a bit cold, but it was still incredibly easy to get great shots! On our drive back to Houston, we skipped the nearby restaurants—we’d already decided we had to go to Captain Tom’s for oysters 🦪. The seafood from the Gulf of Mexico is truly top-notch!🙉🙉 🌾 A Mexican chef shucked the oysters right in front of us, and we ate them fresh off the shell—it felt just like eating omakase 😗. They were so fresh; the two of us ordered 24 oysters (two dozen), and it was the first time I’ve ever had oysters that I couldn’t get tired of 🆘. And the price was amazing, too!🍣 📍 Galveston Beach: 6285 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX 77551 📍 Captain Tom's: 13955 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015🍅🍅 #Beach #Houston #Sunset #Galveston #HoustonFood #Oysters #HoustonBeaches
