Ginza Sushi Kanesaka 🍣
It's said to be a Michelin one-star restaurant, and it's indeed hard to get a reservation. 🎢🍃 On the first day of my hotel stay, I asked the front desk to make a call for me. The second day was fully booked, so I managed to secure a reservation for the third evening. Let me share my experience: The ingredients were all fresh. 🎢🍃 The sashimi in the first picture—I thought it might have a bit of a fishy taste, but it didn't at all. It had a nice, firm texture. 🍣The bamboo shrimp were shown to us alive before being prepared into sushi. The sea urchin was incredibly sweet and fresh. Overall, it was a good experience, though not mind-blowing. By the end of the meal, I was quite full. 🎢🍃 The chef brought out a cup of hot tea to help digest the rich food. 🍣There was a little hiccup: One of my friends couldn't eat raw food and couldn't stand the smell of seafood, so I ended up dining alone. With the language barrier already a challenge, I relied on a translation app on my phone. 🎢🍃But guess what? My phone had no signal, and the app wouldn't open. I couldn't understand the menu or the language. It was super awkward! Luckily, a mother and son at the next table were Chinese and helped me with some basic translations. 🍣 So, despite the challenges, it was still a pleasant dinner. 😊 #Tokyo 🌆🌟
