Glin Thai Bistro Near Pratt π
Appetizer: π₯ Curry Puff - $12 There were four pieces. The outer layer was a combination of fried dumplings and durian pastry. The curry filling was mostly potatoes with very little chicken and was on the sweeter side. π₯ Main Courses: π Kee Mao Short Rib - $42 This dish looked great in the photo, so I had high expectations, but it really wasn't worth the price and wasn't anything special. The outside of the roasted meat was charred, but it had no flavor. The stir-fried instant noodles were tangy and spicy. The basil had no flavor. The ingredients didn't come together well, and the portion size compared to the menu was a bit of a letdown. π π€ Goong Karee - $28 The shrimp were large, with about four or five pieces in total! The curry flavor was mild but delicious. Since the short rib had no flavor, we ended up dipping it in the curry sauce. This dish comes with a bowl of jasmine rice, which wasn't fragrant or soft. After eating, I felt like I needed to stretch my neck out the window. π€ Dessert: π₯ Mango Sticky Rice - $13 The mango wasn't very sour, which is rare. π The white wine ($7) was very bitter; the "bring me peonies" cocktail ($16) wasn't great either, and my friend didn't finish it. π· π Summary: Three of us spent $150 with tips, which is quite expensive for the area around Pratt. I would recommend Myrtle Thai instead. Maybe because we went at lunchtime, there was only one server, which made the service extremely slow and difficult to get attention. π #Pratt #NewYork ππ
