After expansion, it took on its current appearance in 1624. After 1710, Rosenborg transitioned from a royal residence to a repository for the royal treasures, and the palace's gardens evolved from a Renaissance style in the 17th-19th centuries to a Baroque style and finally to the Romantic style of today. 📌 Rosenborg is known for its unique Dutch Renaissance style, setting an example for Danish architecture at the time. It features bronze eaves, towering towers, and red brick walls decorated with sandstone. ✨ During the 17th and 18th centuries when Rosenborg Palace was built, Chinese goods such as silk, tea 🍵, porcelain, and lacquerware were flooding Europe and highly sought after by the upper class. The Danish royal family was no exception. The palace houses a blue and white porcelain plate, and in the bedroom of Christian IV, there are several Chinese ceramic figurines placed on the panels on both sides of the walls.
