Great Base Hotel – A Bit Dated, But Still Highly Recommended! 🏨

Located just 2.5 miles from Broadway—Nashville’s main strip—this hotel offers a convenient and free shuttle service running every 30 minutes to and from the heart of the action. 🚐✨ The pickup/drop-off point is consistent and easy to find. If you're mainly using your room as a home base for exploring, this place is ideal. It’s close to downtown, affordable, and fully equipped with a gym and pool (though I didn’t use them). The room layout is a bit unconventional—sink in the bedroom, toilet and shower in a separate space—but everything was clean and functional. A small housekeeping hiccup: when we requested service, they removed all the partly used toiletries and didn’t replenish them. Also, the bathroom floor was left wet after cleaning. That said, the front desk was responsive and resolved the issue politely. 🧼🚿 All three elevators were clean and in good working order—contrary to some earlier reviews I’d seen. There’s even a small shop across from the elevators selling snacks, medical items, and souvenirs. 🛒🏪 Breakfast was a pleasant surprise! A solid continental spread on weekdays, with added hot items like meat and eggs on weekends. Options included cereal, toast, croissants, bagels, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and a variety of jellies. 🥐🍓☕ One quirky note: not sure if the Christmas tree in the lobby was left over from 2024 or set up early for 2025! 🎄😅 The lobby carpet could use a deep clean, but overall, the hotel is well-kept. We loved the view from the 9th-floor loft every day! We took an Uber from the airport for about $31—smooth and easy.
