📍 Valley of Fire, Las Vegas • Location and Access: Situated about 58 miles northeast of Las Vegas, it's approximately a 1-hour drive. Take I-15 and exit at Exit 75, heading east towards Valley of Fire/Lake Mead. Enter the park through the West Entrance Station. 🚗 • History: In 1931, 8,760 acres of federal land were transferred to Nevada, marking the beginning of the park's creation. The Civilian Conservation Corps contributed to its development from 1933 to the early 1940s. The park opened in 1934 and was officially named Valley of Fire State Park in 1935.
