Great Hotel & Amenities! πŸ¨βœ¨πŸ‘

The location is pretty good, though not exactly right by the water β€” but that’s okay, it’s still within walking distance! πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸŒŠ The hotel is close to Harris Teeter and Trader Joe’s, which makes grabbing snacks and essentials super convenient. πŸ›’πŸŽ The customer service here is wonderful! Sophia greeted us with a bright smile πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘‹, and all the other staff members were just as warm and welcoming. Our package included a $25 daily breakfast credit for two and half-price parking πŸ…ΏοΈπŸ’΅ β€” and they also offered other promotions based on your needs! The room was on the smaller side but fully equipped and comfortable. Our bedroom was cozy, and though it didn’t have a balcony (maybe we missed that in the description πŸ˜…), it was still nice. The bathroom was compact but functional, with great shower pressure 🚿πŸ’ͺ and all the necessary toiletries. The hotel provides welcome water and fruit πŸŽπŸ’§ for guests β€” a nice touch! Breakfast was okay β€” but the real standout was Ravi Singh’s exceptional service πŸ™ŒπŸŒŸ. He made us feel truly at home! The buffet/continental breakfast was pretty standard, but the pancakes and waffles were delicious πŸ₯žπŸ§‡! I do wish we didn’t have to buy Starbucks coffee β€” not sure why all Marriott hotels serve it. The coffee there just isn’t great πŸ˜•β˜•. I’d also recommend walking around town and learning about its history, especially the painful stories of slavery, the cruel persecution of African Americans, and the prisons where they were held β€” many of which have now been converted into townhouses. It’s an important and valuable lesson about this town’s difficult past. πŸ“šπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ˜οΈ #GreatStay #MarriottHotel #GoodService #TravelThoughts #HistoricTown #BreakfastIncluded
