Great Hotel & Amenities! π¨β¨π
The location is pretty good, though not exactly right by the water β but thatβs okay, itβs still within walking distance! πΆββοΈπ The hotel is close to Harris Teeter and Trader Joeβs, which makes grabbing snacks and essentials super convenient. ππ The customer service here is wonderful! Sophia greeted us with a bright smile ππ, and all the other staff members were just as warm and welcoming. Our package included a $25 daily breakfast credit for two and half-price parking π ΏοΈπ΅ β and they also offered other promotions based on your needs! The room was on the smaller side but fully equipped and comfortable. Our bedroom was cozy, and though it didnβt have a balcony (maybe we missed that in the description π ), it was still nice. The bathroom was compact but functional, with great shower pressure πΏπͺ and all the necessary toiletries. The hotel provides welcome water and fruit ππ§ for guests β a nice touch! Breakfast was okay β but the real standout was Ravi Singhβs exceptional service ππ. He made us feel truly at home! The buffet/continental breakfast was pretty standard, but the pancakes and waffles were delicious π₯π§! I do wish we didnβt have to buy Starbucks coffee β not sure why all Marriott hotels serve it. The coffee there just isnβt great πβ. Iβd also recommend walking around town and learning about its history, especially the painful stories of slavery, the cruel persecution of African Americans, and the prisons where they were held β many of which have now been converted into townhouses. Itβs an important and valuable lesson about this townβs difficult past. πποΈποΈ #GreatStay #MarriottHotel #GoodService #TravelThoughts #HistoricTown #BreakfastIncluded
