🏨 Great Location – A Mix of Charm & Awkward Moments 🏙️
This hotel truly boasts an excellent location, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. While the building and some interiors show their age (our first impression wasn’t the best – the room décor felt stuck in the 1960s!), we were pleasantly surprised to find that everything worked perfectly. 🛌 Room Comfort & Amenities Spacious bathroom with a reliable hot shower 🚿 Towels replaced daily, toiletries well restocked King-sized bed with a quality mattress and plenty of pillows 😴 Strong Wi-Fi available throughout TV was not a smart TV – a minor point for some 🍳 Breakfast & Uncomfortable Tipping Policy The breakfast itself was quite good, but the daily tipping note left a sour taste. A printed card suggested a minimum $3 per person tip – and while we appreciate good service, the approach felt pushy and awkward. The staff primarily poured orange juice and cleared tables, yet if you didn’t tip, they’d walk off visibly upset. We absolutely believe in tipping for great service – and the housekeeping team was a perfect example: thorough, friendly, and never asked for a thing. They truly deserved it! 🙌 🍸 Happy Hour & Dining The hotel offers a nice touch with two complimentary drinks during Happy Hour – a lovely gesture! We also tried the onion soup from the hotel restaurant, but it was unfortunately underwhelming – not quite the flavorful experience we hoped for. ⭐ Final Take A solid stay overall thanks to the location, functional rooms, and some friendly staff – but the daily tipping reminders and uneven dining bring the experience down a notch. #HotelReview #MixedFeelings #TippingCulture #CityStay #HonestFeedback #TravelTips
