Grilled meat just feels more soulful with charcoal

I’ve been to Xi Top BBQ in Flushing a few more times recently. There are two stores side by side, but I usually go to the original one. 📍 The one that specializes in charcoal grilling has a richer aroma, while the new store has a brighter environment but doesn’t use charcoal. This time, I went with friends and ordered a few types of meat. Here are some of our favorites👇 🥩 Our Favorites • Wagyu Beef: The marbling is beautiful, and the texture is incredibly tender after grilling. • Marinated Steak: Rich in flavor, perfect for those who prefer a stronger taste. • Fatty Beef Rolls: Delicious when grilled to a slight char. 🍢 Lamb Skewers 10 skewers per order. The store can grill them for you, or you can do it yourself while chatting—it really sets the mood! 🌟 Dipping Sauce Combo I usually go with sesame paste + dry chili powder—it’s very versatile. If you prefer a stronger flavor, add a bit more sesame paste. ⏱ Service Experience The staff helps with flipping the meat based on the heat, so it’s hard to go wrong. We also ordered a stone pot bibimbap on the side, which was a great match with the grilled meat. ⚠️ Quick Tips: • The original store has a more pronounced charcoal flavor. • There might be a short wait during weekend mealtimes. • Grilling some vegetables alongside the meat makes it less greasy. At the end of the meal, they even give you a small bottle of Yakult—a nice little surprise! #GrilledMeat #TheSmellOfBBQ 🌟
