Hakone Open-Air Museum 🌳
1️⃣ Outdoor Sculpture Area 🌸🍃 The outdoor sculpture area is the highlight of the Hakone Open-Air Museum (see the comment section for more details). 🌿 2️⃣ Picasso Pavilion 🌺🌇This is a core exhibition area and a must-see. It is dedicated to the works of Pablo Picasso. The museum houses over 300 pieces by Picasso, including paintings, sculptures, and ceramics. 🌸🍃 These works span multiple stages of his artistic career and include introductions to his creative process, family life, and his deep connections with Japan. 🌺🌇The glass-walled building itself is beautifully designed, with sunlight filtering through the dome. 🎨 3️⃣ Symphonic Sculpture (also known as the Tower of Good Fortune) This 18-meter-tall stained-glass tower was designed by artist Tomoko Hongo. 🌸🍃 The spiral staircase inside is adorned with colorful glass. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Hakone mountains. The light refracting through the glass creates a dreamy, kaleidoscopic effect, earning it the nickname “the Kaleidoscope of Light” (featured in the first photo). 🌺🌇 After returning home, I even bought a puzzle of this view and hung it in my living room—it looks amazing! 🌈 #HakoneOpenAirMuseum 🌟
