Half-Day Stroll in Brussels in Search of the Big Apple šŸ

šŸ“ Itinerary: Brussels North Station → Le Botanique (Old Botanical Garden) → Belgian Comic Strip Center → Magritte Museum & Royal Museums of Fine Arts I came across a photo of the ā€œGreen Apple Buildingā€ on Xiaohongshu and discovered it was the Magritte Museum. I’ve often seen the hat man with a green apple covering his face, which piqued my curiosity. The next day, I set off from the Netherlands to Brussels for a half-day trip in search of the big apple šŸ. If you happen to be here and want to take a quiet walk through the city, visit parks and art galleries without rushing, this is a suitable route for a leisurely stroll. 🌿 1. Le Botanique | The Quiet World of the Old Botanical Garden Just a few steps from Brussels North Station, you’ll arrive at the old botanical garden. The garden is not large, but it’s terraced and feels like wandering through a traditional Chinese garden. Walking through the winding paths, you’ll come to a very Alice in Wonderland European garden. Stop by the fountain next to the pond, and in the distance, you’ll see a building with tall colonnades, which is the cultural center of the old botanical garden. People basking in the sun on the platform, a girl deeply engrossed in a book that glimmers in the sunlight, time seems to slow down. Exiting the garden and heading towards the Belgian Comic Strip Center, I was surprised to see the building from the bridge. It felt like I had stumbled into Magritte’s wonderland, receiving a magical signal. šŸ“š 2. Belgian Comic Strip Center | The interesting Little Mustache Uncle More Interesting Than Tintin Continuing on, you’ll soon find the comic strip museum in a small neighborhood. The center is quite tranquil with few tourists. I came for Tintin, but what touched me the most was a chubby uncle with a little mustache – a bit silly, very humorous, and full of character. šŸ–¼ 3. Magritte Museum & Royal Museums of Fine Arts | The Opposite BLACK ENGLAND HOTEL is Too Cool At 3 PM, I finally arrived at the Magritte Museum. The exhibition area is not large, just perfect for a visit of a little over 2 hours. As I left the gallery, it was dusk, and at that moment – a black windmill sculpture resembling a whale’s 🐳 tail fin was slowly turning in the evening breeze, the lines of the buildings around the small square were illuminated by the sunset. The black bronze-old England hotel P8, which is actually the Brussels Musical Instruments Museum, was something I didn’t have time to enter but stood and admired for a long time. Its facade is so unique, reminding me of the platform in Harry Potter. Next time, I must go inside to explore. Farewell šŸ big apple, I’m so happy to have seen you! šŸ“Œ In summary, although the Google route suggests a 30-minute walk, I ended up strolling for 4 to 5 hours. I didn’t visit any popular tourist spots, but instead, I had the feeling of ā€œstumbling upon the city’s quiet corners.ā€ Every moment that made me stop was naturally beautiful. If you also happen to love noodles, I recommend you go to Hui Mianļ½žThe uncle’s skills are impressive. #Brussels #CityStroll #BotanicalGarden #ComicCenter #Magritte #TravelDiary #EuropeSlowTravel #ArchitectureObservation
