Half-Day Trip to Edinburgh Zoo
Including Money-Saving Tips for Tickets❗ ⛰️ The Scottish National Zoo, welcoming over 600,000 visitors annually, is the second most popular paid attraction in Scotland after Edinburgh Castle. Nestled on picturesque hills, make sure to wear comfortable sneakers❗ You’ll be enchanted by the surroundings, strolling through forest trails, traversing lush vegetation, and immersing yourself in the natural habitats of the animals. From the zoo’s heights, you can also overlook the city’s scenery, a breathtaking view! The giant pandas will be returning to China at the end of October❗ Don’t miss out❗ 🐼 Whether you’re into cute or wild animals, this place has it all! Flamingos stand tall, red pandas are adorably cute, giant pandas are incredibly charming, giraffes are gracefully beautiful. Penguins waddle around (and there are plenty of them), koalas laze in trees, sloths crawl leisurely, and tigers are majestic. 🛍 At the exit, there’s a charming gift shop where you can find a variety of fun souvenirs, from plush toys to beautiful postcards, something worth taking home as a memento. 🍦 You won’t go hungry within the park! There are several restaurants and cafes offering a variety of delicious lunch options. We tried the recommended stir-fried ice cream from Little Red Book, choosing the Cookies n Cream flavor. It looked enticing, sprinkled with Oreo crumbs, evenly fried, and topped with roasted marshmallows and cream. One bite and you’re greeted with a rich chocolate and cookie taste, not too sweet, with a smooth ice cream texture. This place is located just below the Sun Bear area, and the stir-fried ice cream is priced at 6 pounds, with a generous portion. 🎫 Ticket prices have risen to 24.25 pounds, but here’s how I got it for 18 pounds❗ Saving enough for a stir-fried ice cream! 1️⃣ Download the GetYourGuide APP 2️⃣ Register and change the currency to pounds (I missed this step and paid in euros) 3️⃣ Search for Edinburgh Zoo, select the date, and choose the Students ticket (you’ll need to show your student ID at the entrance!) 4️⃣ When checking out, remember to add the Promo Code: SAVEAPP10 (if it’s expired, just search on Google for a new one) 5️⃣ Show the ticket page to the staff on the day of your visit! ⏰ The visit takes about 3 to 5 hours. We walked, stopped, took photos, and rested, totaling 5 hours. It seemed like there were more visitors in the afternoon than in the morning🤔 The zoo is open from 10:00 to 18:00! #EdinburghUniversity #Edinburgh #EdinburghExploration #EdinburghTravel #EdinburghFood #EdinburghZoo #TravelGuide #MoneySavingTips #NatureScenery
