Hamarikyu and Shiba Park in Tokyo πΏ
Hamarikyu Gardens Once a samurai residence and later a royal retreat, Hamarikyu is a serene escape. π However, after visiting Kyoto's stunning gardens, Hamarikyu may seem underwhelming. πΏIt's a place that might be worth a visit, but you might regret it afterward. πΈ Shiba Park π In contrast, Shiba Park is much more enjoyable and is on par with Koishikawa Korakuen. It's one of the few daimyo gardens still in existence today. πΏ This garden is centered around a pond and features beautiful rock formations and a "West Lake" inspired by Hangzhou's West Lake. There are also stone arrangements that mimic the legendary Longevity Mountain in Chinese mythology and a waterfall cascading from a gorge. π π Tokyo's gardens are surrounded by skyscrapers, so you have to find the right angles to avoid them in photos. #Tokyo #TokyoLife π
