Hamburg: A Picture-Perfect German Port City 🇩🇪

🏠 Accommodation: Backpackers St. Pauli (St. Pauli Backpackers Hostel) – €70 for two nights (see last photo) Day 1 Dinner at a Turkish Restaurant: Tried beef ribs at Köz Urfa (a spot recommended on ). The portion was huge—I ate until I was stuffed! Cost: €20. Address: Paul-Nevermann-Platz 2, 22765 Hamburg 🥩 Boat Tour (Line 62): The €49 monthly transit pass covers this for free, and I didn’t see any ticket checks. I took the full loop, which happened to coincide with sunset—so photogenic! Address: Landungsbrücken Brücke 3, 20359 Hamburg 🚢🌅 Red-Light District Visit: After getting off the boat, night had fallen. I walked to the famous red-light district—it was the opening of the European Championship, so it was super lively 🌃. Day 2 Miniatur Wunderland (Miniature Wonderland): Woke up early to visit. I booked tickets online two days in advance, and only early-morning discounted tickets (€17) were available—great deal! It’s incredibly photogenic; I stayed there all morning (4-5 hours) 🚂. Lunch at UNDERDOCKS: Tried the crawfish burger recommended by a friend, plus a side of fried pumpkin fries—so delicious! Total cost: €20. Address: Neuer Kamp 13, 20359 Hamburg 🦞🍟 Elbphilharmonie (Elbe Philharmonic Hall): Stopped by for a photo op. You can pick up free visitor tickets at the entrance 🎟️🏛️. St. Michaelis Church: Another photo spot recommended on Xiaohongshu. The ticket was pricier than expected (€10), but I went up to the top to take photos. Since sunset hadn’t arrived yet, I waited there for an hour or two—luckily, there were charging ports! The blue hour after sunset was perfect for photos 🕍💙. Day 3 Hamburg Fish Market: It’s only open before 10 AM every Sunday. I suggest arriving around 9:30 AM—this is when vendors are packing up, so it’s the busiest and cheapest time to hunt for deals 🐟🛒. Chilehaus: Before leaving, I checked out the Chilehaus (near the central station). I wanted to take an overhead shot of its courtyard (like the ones online), but couldn’t get in—probably closed on weekends. Had to give up 😕. #HamburgGermany #GermanLife #GermanyTravel #MiniaturWunderland #EuropeBudgetTravel
