Hamilton Open House Day 🏰🌸
This weekend’s Hamilton Open House was a blast! Free sites, cherry blossoms, and family fun—all an hour’s drive from Toronto 🚗👨👩👧👦. 🏰 Dundurn Castle Park A lakeside mansion with 200 years of history 📜! Unlike stuffy European castles, this place feels lived-in. Tour includes: Military Museum 🔫 Kitchen Garden 🥬 (they grow veggies here!). Total time: 1.5 hours. Easy-peasy! 🏯 Dundas City Walk Joined the Adaptive Reuse Tour 🏗️ with a historian. We peeked into 15 historic buildings repurposed for modern life—so cool! My fave? A skincare shop 🧴 in an old bank. Products = divine. 🌸 Cherry Blossom Finale Hamilton’s blossoms are fading 🥀, but we scored a few spots: Spencer Smith Park: A handful of trees draped in pink 🌸, mirrored on the lake 🌊. Magical! Centennial Park 🌸: Past peak. RBG’s Nature Centre: Now charges $$ 💸. Skipped it. Day Recap 📆: 9 AM–7 PM. Tired feet, full heart ❤️. Pro Tip: More city open houses coming! Most are Saturdays, though. Sunday lovers, cry with me 😭. #HamiltonAdventures #TorontoLife #CherryBlossoms 🇨🇦🌸
