This weekend, I finally made it to a hidden gem near New York: Peekamoose Blue Hole. 🚗 It's about a 2-hour drive from New York City. ‼️ Be sure to book your permit in advance online through Reserve America. The DayPass is $10 per permit, and one permit covers a single vehicle. But note, reservations open only 7 days in advance. 💦 The star of the show is the stunning blue pool pictured. The stream water is incredibly clean and clear, with a gem-like blue-green hue. However, it's quite cold, requiring a lot of courage to take a dip. Despite the chill, many brave souls jump in for a swim. I recommend bringing a change of dry clothes, but they do dry pretty quickly. 🌈The entire area isn't very large. A group can enjoy wading and splashing around for an hour or two. But escaping the city heat for a cool, refreshing break is pure joy.
