I recently discovered an incredibly underrated yet stunningly beautiful hidden gem: Hermon A. MacNeil Park! It's the ultimate spot for a family outing, picnics, fishing, jogging, and enjoying the seaside. β¨ Highlights in a nutshell: β Surrounded by sea on three sides, with sea breezes that are incredibly soothing β Hills and small woodlands, perfect for capturing forest-themed photos β Large lawns and sports fields for badminton, volleyball, and soccer β Free fishing areas! Saw many locals bringing their kids to fish β Jogging tracks along the coastline, perfect for morning runs or sunset strolls β Plenty of picnic spots, no need to fight for space π§Ί We brought snacks, a picnic blanket, and a ball, took lots of nature-themed photos in the woods, and let the kids run wild on the big lawn. It was super fun! π Easy to drive to, with parking available within the park π Address: Hermon A. MacNeil Park, College Point, Queens NY π Perfect for a family day out. Highly recommend coming here to experience a different kind of New York weekend! #NewYorkFamilyOuting #NewYorkParkRecommendations #GreatFishingSpots
