Hidden Gem Italian Cuisine in the West Village | Da Toscano ๐
Manhattan downtown has plenty of Italian restaurants, but this one is quite special. Theyโve put a creative twist on traditional Italian dishes, and the result is just delicious! ๐ We ordered three appetizers, and none of them disappointed. ๐ The Warm Rosemary Focaccia paired with butter was heavenly. The aroma was so inviting! ๐ The Octopus Carpaccio was thinly sliced octopus served with roasted tomatoes and bread. It was incredibly satisfying. ๐ฆช The Roasted Oysters were warm and served with butter, chili vinegar, and lemon, which perfectly balanced the richness of the butter. They were delicious! For the main course, we had pasta, duck, and pork chops. The meat dishes were average, but the pasta was fantastic. The standout dishes were: ๐ Pappardelle with Duck: It was incredibly flavorful. Even though I usually donโt enjoy duck, this dish had almost no gamey taste. ๐ Scialatielli with Clams: The sauce was slightly spicy with a hint of acidity, paired with cherry tomatoes that really whetted the appetite. ๐ฐ For dessert, we tried the chocolate cake and the 24 Karat cake. They werenโt mind-blowing, but they were definitely enjoyable and not bad at all. #NewYork #ItalianCuisine #WestVillage ๐๐
