Hidden Gem Vietnamese Spot near Columbia | Bánh

Visited this authentic Vietnamese restaurant near Columbia over the weekend after a trip to the Cloisters 🏛️✨ Known as the sister shop to Banh Anh-Em downtown, Bánh is seriously popular — we waited over 30 minutes for a table, but it was totally worth it! The meal felt fresh, flavorful, and full of surprises. 🍚 Bánh Cuốn Hà Nội | Steamed Rice Rolls My first time trying Vietnamese-style rice rolls! The delicate rice wrappers are filled with minced pork, shrimp, and wood ear mushrooms, offering a lovely crunchy texture. Dipped in tangy fish sauce, these rolls were a refreshing and fun appetizer. Note: This dish is usually available only on weekends! 🥪 Pulled Beef Brisket Banh Mi Possibly the BEST banh mi I’ve ever had! 🥖💥 The pulled beef was tender, juicy, and packed with savory-spiced flavors. Topped with pickled radish, fresh greens, and chili, it struck the perfect balance between rich and refreshing. The bread? Crisp on the outside, soft inside, and soaked with delicious beef juices — absolutely addictive! 🍜 House Beef Phở While the phở didn’t steal the show like the banh mi or rice rolls, it was still a solid and satisfying bowl. The broth was clear and aromatic, the beef slices were high-quality, and the noodles were silky smooth. A comforting classic done right! 👉 A vibrant, authentic Vietnamese experience right in the Upper West Side — don’t miss it! 📍 Bánh 942 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025 #NYCFood #VietnameseCuisine #HiddenGems #UWSFood #ColumbiaEats #SoutheastAsianFood #BanhMiLove #FoodieDiscovery
