Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Tokyo Pilgrimage Guide (2)π
The Old Furukawa Garden, spanning an area of 30,780.86 square meters, is nestled in a tranquil spot in Nishihara, Kita Ward, Tokyo. πΏ It was once the residence of the prominent Furukawa Tiger Baron, a great financier. In 1919, it was redesigned by a renowned British horticultural designer into a comprehensive garden that integrates a Western-style mansion, a Western garden, and a Japanese garden. ππ Later, it became state-owned and is now managed by the Tokyo Horticultural Association. πΏ Other Pilgrimage Spots in Tokyo: If you need to visit these places while heading to popular attractions: πΏ Former Maeda Family Main Residence (Western-style building): One of the prototypes of the main building in the anime. It's located near Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park. π° ππ Former Iwasaki Family Garden: Another main building prototype in the anime. πΏ It's close to Ueno Park and Shinobazu Pond, just a few hundred meters away on foot. πΏ Just a side note: I can't believe the Rokkenjima mansion has four prototypes! ππ It's like they're trying to have too much of a good thing, and it loses its charm a bit. π€ #TokyoGardens #OldFurukawaGarden ππ
