Historic & Charming Hotel 🏛️💖

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at this absolutely lovely hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of Charleston. We were impressed by how clean and well-kept everything was—especially our room on the 9th floor, the Francis Marion Suite, which offered stunning views! 🪟🌆 The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the entire property felt both classic and cared for. Inside the hotel, we dined twice at Swamp Fox Restaurant—the service and food were so outstanding that we didn’t feel the need to go elsewhere! 🍴🥂 Just outside, you’ll find a beautiful park across the street, along with plenty of shops and cafes within walking distance. Another major plus: the hotel is close to several bus stops, making it easy to use Charleston’s free CARTA bus service—highly recommended for those with mobility concerns or anyone looking to explore sustainably. 🚌🌿 During our stay, we also admired the hotel’s beautifully decorated Christmas ornaments, which added a festive and cozy touch. 🎄✨ We opted for valet parking, and Zack, who assisted us multiple times, was exceptionally helpful—carrying our luggage and even going out of his way to retrieve my sunglasses! 🧳😎 If there was one small drawback, it was the water pressure in the shower. It took a bit longer to rinse off, but given that this hotel is nearly 100 years old, it’s a minor point in the grand scheme of things.
