Hokusai Museum ๐จ
I really like the design of this museum. It's simple and straightforward, embodying design philosophies and architectural theories such as "fold" and "porosity." ๐๐ข The entrance is designed in a low-key and natural way, complementing the small playground in front, which serves the local community. The facade not only protects the artworks inside but also connects with the surrounding environment. ๐๐ธ The internal space is rich in layers, and the circulation is very interestingโI remember it being from top to bottom. ๐๐ขIt's a design project that's hard to criticize and yet very classic. ๐ Regarding Katsushika Hokusai, I think his revolutionary techniques in expression and unique exploration of space, motion, and narrative are truly remarkable. ๐๐ธ His works are detailed yet abstract, and they have even influenced European Impressionism. ๐๐ขI believe friends can learn a lot from his masterpiece "The Great Wave off Kanagawa," which should have been covered in art classes from elementary to high school. ๐ #ExhibitionArchitecture #KatsushikaHokusai #ArchitecturalArt
