Hoover Dam Parking Tips 🚗💡

Went there in July—sharing some parking experience! If you navigate to Hoover Dam Outlook, you’ll reach a spot where you can’t actually see the water or the bridge—but along the way, there are several free parking lots, mostly at mountain road bends. 🏞️🅿️ ⚠️ Paid parking lots I know of: • The signed lot at the bridge entrance • Parking Lot 8 (I think it’s #8)—both cost $10 💵 ‼️ Parking Lot 8 is at a corner with shaded spots—but be careful! We thought it was free, drove in, saw someone in the booth, felt awkward leaving, and paid $10… Then we discovered a long staircase at the end leading directly to a FREE parking area! 😅 So we paid $10 AND walked a long staircase just to reach the free viewpoint… 🙃 🚫 You can’t stop or drop people off on the bridge—staff will intervene. Better to park first and walk. But in summer, with temps over 40°C (104°F), it’s hard to stay outside for more than 5 minutes! 🌞🔥 Have you visited Hoover Dam? Any parking tips or stories to share?
