Hotel Seville NoMad ๐จ
๐๐ธThis New York trip, the place that I both loved and hated the most was the hotel. โค๏ธThis Hyatt-affiliated hotel is located on 29th Street between 5th and Madison Ave. It's safe, convenient for transportation, and close to my favorite Madison Square Park. Although the building is old, the interior facilities and room spaces are all new. ๐๐ธ The last time I came, I stayed at Moxy downtown, where the room was so small that there was hardly any space left after opening a 28-inch suitcase. This time, the small room I originally booked didn't have that problem. ๐๐ธBut since the room I was assigned was at the end of the corridor, the air conditioning was extremely cold when I walked in, which felt quite uncomfortable. So on a whim, I asked for a room upgrade. After the upgrade, the room had views of the Empire State Building and the apartments across the street ๐ณ. ๐๐ธ I'm not sure if it was the exhaustion from walking 20,000 steps a day or the jet lag, but the big soft bed was incredibly comfortable. ๐But this room also made me "hate" it. The price on Ctrip was around $1,500, which was really reasonable. But my impulsive upgrade on-site, combined with New York City's destination fee, caused the price to soar ๐ธ. When I checked the price of the upgraded room on Ctrip afterwards, I really wished I hadn't been "too frugal" when booking the hotel. ๐๐ธ This hotel is great, but sometimes my money-saving mindset can be really bad. #NewYork #NewYorkTravel #NewYorkHotels ๐๐
