How to Have Fun in the Bay Area? Try Glass Blowing 🎈 and Sea Fishing

**Blow Glass at 📍 Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI)** **Go Fishing at 📍 Barbarossa Fishing** 🩵 This week, I went glass blowing in San Jose with my company’s team outing! I was super nervous about messing up, getting too hot, or not being able to blow the glass properly... but everything went smoothly! Each person could choose two glass colors and received 1v1 glass blowing “lessons.” The instructor was very patient, guiding me on how to blow and when to stop. Even as a complete beginner, I managed to create a decent-looking glass cup! 💵 The cost is around 💲100 per person, and you can choose to make a trumpet flower, pumpkin, or cup. 🩵 The week before, I went sea fishing with friends. We had a small boat for six people, departing promptly at 11 AM on Saturday. The boat provided fishing rods and bait. Although the reservation page mentioned live bait, we actually used artificial bait 😅. The boat had a fish finder to locate schools of fish, so all we had to do was cast our lines and wait for the fish to bite—it was a super easy, beginner-friendly experience! We caught 19 rockfish. The fish we caught were ours to keep, and the captain helped with basic cleaning, like gutting the fish. However, I felt the cleaning wasn’t thorough, and I spent a lot of time re-cleaning the whole fish at home. For the larger fish, the captain filleted them, and we had those for hot pot that night. The fillets were boneless, making the experience perfect! ❗️ Be very careful when casting your fishing line! One of our friends had their fishing line too long, and the hook got stuck in another friend’s forehead when they cast. The hook had a barb! Luckily, the captain was experienced and calmly removed the hook.
