I’m So Impressed by This New Restaurant! 🌟
I’ve been so lazy lately that I haven’t posted about many of the amazing restaurants I’ve visited. But I have to recommend this new place, Bridges — it’s been such a delightful surprise! 🌉 The head chef used to be the lead chef at Estela, so there’s a touch of Estela’s style in their dishes. I’ve been wanting to try this place ever since I read about it online before they even opened, and I finally had the chance to go. But what really surprised me was how much thought and effort the chef put into experimenting with different ingredients. It’s not just the usual, run-of-the-mill dishes — the flavor combinations are truly exceptional. 🥩 🐟 Sardines and Anchovies This dish seems to be a must-order at every table! At the bottom, you have crispy thin slices of toasted bread. In the middle are anchovies and pickled peppers, topped with marinated sardines. The flavors are incredibly layered, and the textures are amazing. The crunch of the bread, the softness of the peppers, and the richness of the fish all come together perfectly with garlic, lemon, and black pepper. It’s just so delicious! 🐟 🍄 Chanterelle Mushroom Pie When this dish arrived, I was a bit surprised — it looks almost like a dessert! The base is topped with 2-year-aged Comté cheese, and above that are chanterelle mushrooms in a sauce made from Sherry and butter. The cheese is absolutely divine! It’s fragrant, soft, and almost custard-like in texture — like the smoothest, most delicate steamed egg you’ve ever tasted! The mushrooms are crispy with a hint of Sherry flavor, and they pair perfectly with the cheese. 🍄 🎢 This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re in New York! 🗽 📍 Bridges #NewYorkFoodie #RestaurantDiscovery 🌊🌸
