I declare this the most fun place in all of Paris 🦤
The National Museum of Natural History of France, short for MNHN 🏛️ Located in the Paris Botanical Garden on the banks of the Seine, it is one of the oldest natural history museums in the world, housing numerous galleries including the "Museum of Comparative Anatomy" and the "Paleontology Museum". The vast collection of fossils and animal skeletons 🦴 here left me in awe, showcasing the diversity of life on Earth and the evolution of life throughout its history. Many of the fossils are original discoveries from the 18th and 19th centuries, including classic dinosaurs known to paleo-enthusiasts: such as Diplodocus 🦕, Triceratops, Allosaurus 🦖, Pterosaurs... and early mammals like the Egyptian Phosphatherium, Saber-toothed Cat, Megaloceros 🦌, Woolly Mammoth 🦣, and other prehistoric creatures that are a feast for the eyes. Plus: This place was also the inspiration for the French film "Adele's Extraordinary Adventure". Discovering these natural history museums in Europe really does reveal a deep cultural heritage and artistic charm. Friends who like this theme can also check out my previous notes 📝 Grande Galerie de l'Evolution Actually, the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle has 4 venues, and this is one of them. The one for dinosaur fossils is the Evolution one! Admission is free, but you need to make an appointment on their website. #Paris #Dinosaurs #Fossils #Museum #ParisTravel #PaleontologyFossils #NaturalHistoryMuseum #DinosaurFossils #DinosaurMuseum
