I found the most beautiful spiral staircase in the Parisian alleys!
🤎 Musée Gustave Moreau, located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, was formerly the studio of the Symbolist painter Gustave Moreau. The building has four floors; the second floor has six small rooms leading to the garden, which served as the residence of Moreau and his family. Four of these rooms, filled with drawings and sketches, are open to visitors. The third and fourth floors are vast studios, housing hundreds of oil paintings and watercolors, with more than four thousand works hanging on the walls. 🤎 On the third floor, you can copy the works preserved in cabinets with revolving shutters. And the most beautiful spiral staircase connecting the third and fourth floors was designed by Moreau himself. Besides the stunning spiral staircase, I’m truly in love with this luxurious and whimsical style of painting! 🤎 Gustave Moreau (1826-1898) was a French Symbolist painter. Deeply influenced by Leonardo da Vinci and the Romantic movement, as well as the widespread influence of 19th-century fashionable exotic images, many of his exhibition works are based on myths and biblical stories. They not only draw from Western classical mythology but also from Indian myths, known for their bright color effects and dreamy passion, reflecting the mysteriousism that prevailed at the end of the 19th century and giving the works a symbolic nature. 🤎 Opening Hours: Open every day except Tuesday (10:00-18:00) 🤎 Admission: €7 (walk-in) #LondonLife #CulturalSights #ParisTravel #Symbolism #ParisHiddenGems #WeekendGetaways #MustVisitMuseums #ArtLover #CultureLover #Architecture
