I Found the Real-Life Setting of Apple’s New Sequoia Wallpaper
In California, I Found the Real-Life Setting of Apple’s New Sequoia Wallpaper 🍎✨ There’s something awe-inspiring—almost surreal—about standing next to something truly gigantic. It’s a mix of admiration, reverence, and a hint of fear. That’s exactly how I felt in Sequoia National Park. 📍 This is Sequoia National Park in California—the very place that inspired Apple’s latest macOS Sequoia and its stunning wallpaper. No wonder it’s trending all over social media right now! 🚗 The best way to explore is by car. We drove here from Yosemite, and here’s the route we took: Kings Canyon National Park – Enter through here. The entrance fee is $35 per vehicle, valid for 7 days. General Grant Tree – Our first stop. General Sherman Tree – The largest living tree on Earth 🌍! It’s over 3,000 years old, 83 meters tall, and so wide at the base that it would take dozens of people holding hands to circle it. (Photos 11-15 were taken around this area. Don’t miss the trails beyond!) Tunnel Log – Everyone’s favorite photo spot! You can actually drive through this fallen giant. Nearby, you’ll also find the massive root system (Fig. 6) and other majestic sequoia groves 🏃♂️ Each parking area offers trailheads leading deeper into the forest. If you’re up for it, take a hike—you might discover even more hidden giants! ⚠️ Tips: Bring warm layers 🧥—it’s cold up there most of the year. Winter visits may require tire chains. No signal in the park! 📵 Download Google Maps offline before you go. Pack water and snacks 🥪—food options are limited and far between. If you love hiking, one day isn’t enough. Stay overnight in Three Rivers or Visalia for an early start. For better lodging and food (especially Asian cuisine 🍜), stay in Visalia. We highly recommend The Darling Hotel—a beautifully restored historic building that’s both elegant and cozy! 🏨💖 #US #CA #Sonoma
