Iceland is Definitely Not a Food Desert!
1οΈβ£ Fish Company πΈ The environment is great, and advance booking is required. The bread served as an appetizer is delicious β just spread some butter and nuts on it for a tasty treat. You can't go wrong with the dishes pictured, especially the fresh salmon π. No disappointments here, with an average cost of 60 pounds per person. 2οΈβ£ Caruso π€ Mainly known for its lobster, we recommend the grilled lobster, lobster pasta, seafood risotto, and avoid the lobster soup β it has a strange taste. The desserts are delicious, but service can be slow as they bring everything out at once. You can ask for dishes to be served as they're ready. We walked in at noon without waiting, with an average cost of 35 pounds per person. 3οΈβ£ Islenski Barinn π Iceland's hottest restaurant! Make sure to book in advance or arrive early for walk-in. Recommended dishes include: Icelandic Lobster Dog: A hot dog with lobster Traditional Icelandic Meat Soup: A hearty lamb soup Creamy Seafood Soup: Rich and creamy with seafood Slow Cooked Lamb Shank: Tender and flavorful Average cost: 30 pounds per person. 4οΈβ£ Fine Restaurant π A decent Chinese restaurant with delicious spicy chicken, but the boiled meat slices and fish in sour soup were not up to par. Stick to stir-fried dishes. 5οΈβ£ Milk Tea Shop on Rainbow Street π₯€ Unexpectedly good milk tea in Iceland! It's a nice surprise to find such a treat, with prices that will make you want to shed tears of joy. π¨ For accommodation, we stayed at the Parliament Hotel, which has an excellent location in the city center, walking distance from these restaurants and next to a bus stop. There's also a spa and hot springs in the basement for relaxation. #IcelandTravel #IcelandAdventureGuide
