Iceland Road Trip Day 4: Exploring Nature's Wonders 🌄🚙
🌊 Braided Rivers Marked several spots on the map beforehand. Took Route 204 about 5km towards the tundra, but the wind was too strong for our Mavic drone—had to give up. 🌿 Eldhraun Lava Fields Drove through a sandstorm into the mossy tundra. In early June, Iceland felt like it had just awakened from winter—the pale gray-green moss flowed like liquid over the rocks. ⛰️ Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon Behind the tundra lies this stunning "Feather Canyon." An easy hike leads to a narrow, winding gorge carved by glacial rivers. We reached the viewpoint and turned back. 🏔️ Svínafellsjökull Glacier Hiked up close—though the ice was more gray than blue, it looked like an ink wash painting. Discovered my jacket’s "glacier gray" color matches perfectly! Best shot with a telephoto lens. 🌊 Mulagljufur Canyon & Waterfall A hidden gem! The deep canyon ends with snowy peaks, but the hike was longer than expected. Turned back after 30 minutes (a bit regretful). 🏔️ Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Cloudy with occasional sun—the icebergs shone bright blue against the mountains. So windy we could barely stand! Better to visit longer on clear days. 🏡 Höfn Town Rushed to check in before dark 😂 Arrived during golden hour—the entire town glowed, with roads leading straight to snow-capped peaks. Icelanders sure know how to pick heavenly spots! #Hofn#Hótel Höfn#Iceland#travel guide# Eldhraun
