ICP - International Center of Photography

๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒธInternational Center of Photography ๐Ÿ“ Location: New York - Midtown Manhattan ๐ŸŽซ Admission: $14 - Available for purchase on-site I happened to visit during the ICP's 50th-anniversary exhibition, and I was fortunate enough to see many classic photographic works. ๐ŸŽ‰ In 1974, Cornell Capa founded the ICP to promote the tradition of "concerned photography." ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒธ This is a documentary photography style known for its humanitarian concerns and rigorous form, closely related to Magnum Photos and Cornell's brother, Robert Capa. ๐Ÿ“ธ Robert Capa, one of the greatest war photographers of the 20th century, tragically passed away in 1954 while covering the Vietnam War. The third image is a photo taken by Robert in 1944, depicting the first day of the American forces' landing in Normandy, which marked the largest amphibious assault in history. ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒธ Though slightly blurry, this photo has become a classic in both photographic and modern history due to its rarity. Some of the iconic scenes in "Saving Private Ryan" were also inspired by this set of photos. ๐ŸŽž๏ธ Another photo that I really liked shows a newly immigrated Chinese person eating instant noodles on a balcony. ๐Ÿœ ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒธ #ICPInternationalCenterOfPhotography ๐ŸŒŸ #InternationalCenterOfPhotography ๐ŸŒŸ
