Idaho's Famous Giant Potato š„āØ
Travel Highlight: The Idaho Potato Hotel Travel Lowlight: We couldnāt book a stay š Even soāthis place is undeniably cool! āļø Well, literally cool (and kinda cold š„¶), and also metaphorically cool. Tucked quietly in the middle of a vast, open plain, the giant potato stands like a surreal sculpture under the big Idaho sky. Itās quirky, unexpected, and very⦠Idaho. But real talkāit wasnāt the easiest spot to photograph šø. The light can be harsh, the background is reaaaally flat (weāre talking epic plains energy š¾), and there are only so many angles you can work with a giant potato. That saidāitās a memory, itās a vibe, and itās a story. Bonus activity alert! š We discovered you can self-feed little baby cows at a nearby potato farmāmeet Dolly! Sheās adorable, curious, and very gentle. Thereās something special about connecting with animals right where your food comes fromāplus, it made for some unexpectedly sweet photos. Even though we didnāt get to sleep inside the spud š„š“, just being there, touching it, laughing about itāit summed up road trip energy: sometimes the planned thing doesnāt work out, but the unplanned moments (like feeding Dolly) end up making the trip. šø Photo tips: Best during golden hour š (but we went at noon, so donāt be like us) Wear something that pops against the yellow/blue landscape š Embrace the sillinessāitās a giant potato. Have fun with it! š§ŗ If you go: Book months in advance if you actually want to stay Pack a jacketāit gets windy out there! Pair the visit with a trip to the nearby farm or Boise Not every landmark is glamorous. But itās real, itās weird, and itās 100% worth the detour. #Idaho #GiantPotato #PotatoHotel #TravelIdaho #RoadTripVibes #HiddenGems #CCDPhotography #FlatAesthetic #AgriTourism #IdahoAdventures š„š®ššØ
