Sitting quietly on a ranch just outside Boise is the one and only Idaho Potato Hotel. 🚜💨 Idaho is known as the “Potato State,” and spuds are practically a cultural symbol here. Back in 2012, the Idaho Potato Commission created a 6-ton, 28-foot-long giant potato model and sent it on a truck tour across the U.S. 🥔🇺🇸 For 7 years, it traveled through 48 states, became a photo icon, and made Idaho potatoes even more famous. In 2018, when a new touring potato was built, this “retired” giant wasn’t scrapped — instead, it was creatively turned into an Airbnb stay! A designer and a local farmer transformed it into the cozy Idaho Potato Hotel you can see today. It looks like a giant potato that just dropped from the sky onto the grassland — funny and photogenic! Inside, it’s a comfy little cottage with a double bed, AC, and a bathroom 🛏️🚿. Right outside, you’ll see grazing cows and open ranch views — a true Idaho countryside experience. Even if you don’t stay overnight, it’s totally worth the drive to take photos with this famous spud. The round shape of the potato against the wide-open fields feels like something straight out of a fairy tale 🧡📸. The funniest moment?
