πβ° If you come to Kyoto, you must visit Amanohashidate at least once
Amanohashidate divides Miyazu Bay and Asu Sea, with thousands of years of sedimentation giving rise to 7,000 pine trees, earning its reputation as a "white sand and green pine" landscape. As one of the Three Views of Japan (Matsuushima, Miyajima, Amanohashidate), every frame here looks like a painting on a sunny day! Enjoy the chill sea view from a single hammock at the Amanohashidate observation deck, and ride a tandem bicycle to the top of the mountain for a truly healing experience! It's really worth it! πΆ Then head to Iga Funaya, as if walking into a Hayao Miyazaki animation, feeding the greedy seagulls, with a panoramic view of the fishing village, wooden houses, and the sea. I can't think of a more chill and relaxing place to spend the day~ I recommend taking it slow and enjoying both Amanohashidate and Iga Funaya. I spent DAY1οΈβ£ at Amanohashidate and DAY2οΈβ£ at Iga Funaya~ π π Amanohashidate Transportation βοΈ Highly recommend the bus: Search for "Japan Bus e-Rakutu" to purchase round-trip bus tickets from Kyoto to Amanohashidate and Osaka to Amanohashidate. Choose your departure time, π« specific stations & timetables are in figures p16-17. Starting point: π ΏοΈ Kyoto Station C2 Bus Stop or Osaka Hankyu Sanbangai Destination: If staying at a Miyazu hotel, choose Miyazu Station (3100 yen), for the observation deck, choose Amanohashidate (3200 yen). π π Amanohashidate View Land Single cable car ride (850 yen) is very interesting, allowing you to enjoy a chill journey up and down the mountain alone. The southern observation deck, known as the "crotch viewing deck," offers a unique perspective (gave it a try and it was indeed cool). The color of the sea changes with the weather and time, and the winter snowscape is also very beautiful! PS: No need to visit the parasol pine park in the north, as the cable car and views are no different from View Land. π Sightseeing Boat + Feeding Seagulls At the Monju Station next to Amanohashidate Station, watch the rotating bridge and take a sightseeing boat to the parasol pine park (Ichino-miyaji Station, one way 800 yen, round trip 1300 yen), where you can also feed seagulls! As the boat moves, seagulls flock in large numbers, a spectacular sight (beware of eagles! Figure p9). π€ Iga Funaya In addition to Amanohashidate, you can also take a bus to Iga Funaya, which is listed as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, known as the Venice of Asia. You can also take a sightseeing boat tour of Iga Funaya (the bus stop for the sightseeing boat is called "Iga Bay Meguri Β· Sunrise," tickets are 1200 yen, shrimp chips are 100 yen), to experience the tranquility and beauty of the fishing village. Once there, visit a very Instagrammable cafΓ© for a cup of coffee and dessert, facing the sea to savor the delicious food, it's incredibly chill! #SeeDifferentScenes #MyOffTheBeatenPathTravelGuide #BoatSightseeing #JapanTravelGuide #KyotoTravel #Amanohashidate #IgaFunaya #SeaOfKyoto #ThreeViewsOfJapan #KyotoTourism ππ²π€
