Built in 1869, its red-and-white vintage decor hinted at a rich history—and sure enough, its website revealed a romantic backstory: the original owners met in the hotel’s restaurant when the heroine, who didn’t know how to eat oysters, accidentally made a scene, catching the hero’s attention.
